it's way to damn commercialized these days. i was surfin my itunes the other night and i was listenin to the jamie foxx joint. then i compared it to some old genuwine and i was like this can't be the same genre of music. man the industry is all effed up now a days. in my opinion neo soul is r&b and r&b is basically pop music @ this point. So basically if u blastin that new jamie foxx joint you might as well pop in some miley sirus or however u spell that strags name. if you want some real r&b you gotta go to the roots like some swv,old janet, sade, etc. But there is some current r&b artist thats pretty tough. for example teedra moses she is highly underrated in my opinion. one thing i like most about her is that she refuses to go commercial. that's why koch records dropped her but she still doin the damn thing. i heard she got a new album droppin this year. but until then i'ma just listen to her two mixtapes and first album.
